Oh dude... hell yeah! I want to hear this thing! What can you tell us about the tone?

I have a Blankenship Variplex that Dave reworked for me. It has his Transformer and Sylvania 6CA7s. Its still non master. I don't have an internal Variac in it. We set it up as a regular Plexi. I have an external Variac that I use to drop it to 90 Volts. On top of that I have a Mojave Peacemaker with the Brown Eye and Custom 45. This new Metro-Friedman amp is going to rock!

Also in the Variac mode the plate voltage is way under 450v and only about 470 in the high mode. . We will see how they hold up. It was just the most accurate choice.

Yeah that clip smokes.. better than VH early tone is right. Very organic and rich with a nice cut. Those heritage greenbacks sound great but aren't the EVH greenies essentially rebranded heritage for less? Note to anyone looking for speakers....
