Hey ! I received my React IR II last week - i think it`s a great device ! Today i turned on my JCM 800 and played for an hour , it`s so much fun ;-) I have to check out the Attenuator function tomorrow . My device doesn`t get warm , it feels as cold as nothing is plugged in --does anybody know if this is normal .... i don't want to break one of my amps .
Thanks !

Yeah. It has a fan inside it which does a damn good job. As long as you plug the React:IR II in when you're playing (so that the fan can spin) you shouldn't damage anything.
Enjoy! It's probably one of the best loadboxes available right now.

Will be right if you will using power supply and power on the device. In this case the fan will work and will do own work -)
The fan working silent.

Does it take a while for the OSX version to update in the App Store?

Just got my react 2 and I'm very impressed with the unit and the service I've received so far.

Already in a production. If will not problems with electricity and russian bombs - it will be available in January.
Sorry for a bit of a necrobump but a few things aren’t clear from the website

1. How many IRs does the v2 store at a time?
2. Are two IRs available for stereo output?

Live my v1 of the React:IR!

As described in the manual on the site:
1. 200 IR slots, 128 presets
2. there are two independed channel. Each channel can have own IR, or mix from 2 IR's. Depends from IR mode.

For the price and features, this unit is interesting to me. The demos sound good, I'd love to hear good demos using the attenuator vs straight into the amp. Anyone point me to some good vids? I've seen a few but I'd love to see it tested, compared etc. where attenuation is concerned.

Video of work of aatenuator not easy to make. I not saw. Attenuation is felt in space, and is perceived by the ear individually. When recording on cameras/phones, auto compression occurs, if the amplifier sound becomes quieter, the camera focuses on the sound of the strings, etc. IMHO, you are unlikely to find a clear video on attenuators in general.

I did just send a note to St Rock about maybe getting a unit to demo.

I’m confirmed for a few other new releases and would love to see how theirs feels in my own environment compared to my other offerings.

I’ve been on the Torpedo Studio for almost 9 years I think and it’s definitely “end of life” from a support standpoint.

The React II is the best loadbox/attenuator I’ve ever used
At the price point, might be worth the plunge. The new Reload II could be interesting but even at that, I think the REACT II seems to have more features. For the load, what is it based on? Like the Suhn for example being based on a greenback 4x12 but Two Notes doing more of a generic average of a bunch of i guess they'd call them impedance curves?

You can switch between what seems to be a 4x12 greenback response and a 4x12 mesa V30 cab response with a button on the front of the unit. They’re not labeled that way, that’s just how I hear them.

Pretty cool! Thanks. I'm tempted now.
