barrier island in the Atlantic. not in the path of Milton; we have storm surge warning but minor, 6'; house is up on steel reinforced concrete pylons.

I'm in a VE zone; SFHA (Special Flood Hazard Area) according to FEMA

This is a 100 year storm…. I hope everyone is ok. Don’t recall ever hearing them say write your name on yourself so they can 🆔 your body later if you stayed. Afraid this’ll be bad.
 
Landed at siesta key. Wind gusts at Egmont Key to 100mph. That's not far from my old man's place. He appears to be on the north edge of the worst area of the storm so hoping his place doesn't get the max storm surge. Trying to find the storm surge estimates on the holiday isles with no luck. Couldn't get any of the beach live cams to function either.
 
This one has Tampa on it and it is still working. Probably not what you are looking for obviously.

I was trying to get the Sirata resort live cam on St. Pete Beach to work but no dice. It's right on the gulf. Trying to see the surge.
 
With 173 devastating tornados (and counting)

And 3 hurricanes underway...

You all think that it's a man-made mega storm but we're over here all like....

Sharknado!!!! :(
