Stop playing "Bark At The Moon" wrong!!!

Jake is such a bad ass. Saw this video when it first came out and I was close in what I was playing but it was very cool to learn it exactly right. Especially being in an Ozzy tribute myself. As for the outro riff and that stretch? No thanks. I'll stick with my cheat. LOL! Jake's stuff is the hardest to cover IMO.
 
I made this clip almost 10 years ago.....I think I got pretty close on the main riff. I remember seeing a lesson in some magazine where he showed how he played it, might've been Young Guitar Japan or Guitar World circa 1991.

Yeah dude you do a great job. I will do the cheat for the end solo as well. I was gonna try to tag you to see how you were playing it. Your vid of Killer of Giants was awesome.

Thanks man! I play it down at the 7th position on the E and B and E and G so it becomes more of a string skipping type riff which easier for me than that stretch. Same notes just played a different way. When I was younger it was probably doable. Now at 45 with arthritis issues? Not so much.

Vocals aside (our buddy was pretty spot-on Ozzy style a whole note too low the whole song :lol: :LOL: ) this is what I made of it (project group) almost 7 years ago:



Apparently I cheated a bit in the end runs. Otherwise I think it still sounded pretty o.k. :dunno:
