This is awesome. I am happening to be in San Jose, CA for two weeks starting this monday...so I'm gonna most likely drive down to hang w/ jngman69 for a bit on Saturday, and both of us head to Tone Merchants. It'll be awesome to meet you guys, Pete, Andy, etc.

Is Rob from TM's gonna be there as well???

Eric...You can not miss this!! T.M is a really cool setting and very laid back and Pete will rock your socks off. We hung out when he came in with the Chris Cornell band and had a blast!! I seen George Lynch there also during Namm with Dave and Pete ( We stayed in the lobby area and watched it on the flatscreen as to not go def with the purple monster plexi raging). T.M. is a really nice store man...Take the credit card!!

My good buddy Wade, thanks

Our own Shark Diver brought over 7 exotic and rare Suhrs to the shop yesterday for display. Shark Diver has to gig that night and wont be able to play, but hid restaurant will be catering the event. So everybody get there early if u want to eat some killer Mexican food. Remember to bring your own Boozzzzz

Hey Rob....do you have a Bogner Uber? I was hoping to try one out while I was there.

You mind if I bring a couple guitars to show too? I have my Suhr Pro Modern in Charcoal Web...and a custom one I built:

Very killer night,Pete and Andy are fucking awesome players and just absolutely killer people all around.Petes amp is a monster for sure!!Thanks for letting me be there!!

What a killer weekend for sure man!!! Drove about 860 miles this weekend. 330 from San Jose -> Oxnard area to visit Jason (jngman69)...95 miles to visit Tone Merchants in LA...and 95 back..... Then 330 back to San Jose today. So that's like 860 miles!!!!

Was a beautiful drive down the 101 for sure. Not boring, or tiring whatsoever. The mountains are beautiful all the way down.

Just arrived back into my hotel room in San Jose, and am glad to rest for the evening after a long, but GREAT weekend.

So...onto the festivities... What grabbed my attention most was playing Peter Thorn's own CAE PT100. Peter let me jam on it before we left, and it was definitely bitchin!!!! Owned the CAE SE+3, and that PT100 smoked it IMHO. I'm definitely gas'ing for one of those after January NAMM. What the coolest part of jamming on his amp, is that Peter was "dialing the knobs" in while I was playing....And he even told made the comment..."Man you're a good player too!" I was like...woah...that's killer to get a genuine comment from someone like Peter. What a friggin day. From jamming with Jason, to meeting Andy Wood, to meeting Peter Thorn, to meeting with John Suhr...what a killer day!!!

Sat and talked to John Suhr for about 30-40 minutes, and that was awesome. Didn't know what the blower switch, or the "push push" pot on the tone to put the bridge bucker in parallel...which is what Andy Wood has on his..and it's killer. Gets that "tele" tone in a Suhr Modern. John said I could ship back my Pro Modern, and they'd do that for me on just my Pro!!! What customer service!!!

Definitely also gassing for another Suhr guitar though too. Would love a modern w/ mahogany, or a "Tele style" similar to Peter's. Got to play it too...and it felt AWESOME!!! His guitar had the blower switch on it too...and that's just so damn cool.

All in all...it was a AMAZING weekend. I LOVED it. Thanks for putting this on!!!

What a great clinic. Everything went really smooth and there was a good turnout. Thanks to Ed for basically running the show. Ed really has the whole clinic/gear demo thing down. Im hoping we can do this type of stuff on a more regular basis.

Andy and Pete were incredible not only with their playing and tone, but the way they were able to articulate everything from their tone to their guitars was fantastic. Also, we had a great time after the clinic throwing down some beers. I liked how someone brought up Eric Johnson. Andy then proceeded to play Cliffs of Dover note for note flawlessly. I listened to Andy's new solo album twice yesterday and it kicks ass!!!!!

Thanks to Shark Diver for supplying the food and his amazing Suhr collection and great meeting new friends.

Great Great night

Wow, sucks to live on the wrong coast!

Sounds like you boys ripped it up, and had a blast. I will for sure be there for drinks and jams during NAMM again this year if I am invited back!

The Suhr camp video recorded the entire clinic. Hopefully we will see some video soon

check out Andy Woods CD, I love it  i had it crankin at the shop yesterday why I was doing paperwork. great stuff
