Whoops. That's spell check on my iPhone. Dang

I still like your more than the one you posted
The idea is that this one would get some tradtional Strat tones. But I would not trade my Suhr for anything. Maybe it's simply a case of the honeymoon still going strong. All I know is I love it in every way. It's the nicest guitar I have ever laid hands on.

Got to say, I love it Jim! I have always been a orange color kind of guy for guitars.

S'up Chad. Yeah I still regret not getting a tangerine Strat years ago. Always liked orange guitars. The birdseye neck doesn't hurt.

Sorry for sidetracking your thread. I love the looks of your purple Suhr. I have no doubt it is killer!

Hahaha. No worries

I'm actually thinking of getting another one. Pro modern in denim with maple board

Nice!

Reviving an old thread to ask a question about the body shape of the Suhr Modern as compared to the Ibanez JEM. I have an Ibanez RG 655 (which I believe is and has always been almost identical in body shape to the JEM) and am considering selling it to get a Suhr Modern with a Floyd as my "shred" guitar.

The value and playability of the RG 655 Prestige is great, but the body shape has always felt a little big and unbalanced for me. I'm not the biggest guy and play PRS primarily which fits nicely.

Also, I do already have a Suhr Standard Pro S3 and love everything about it - that super-strat body shape feels fine and well balanced. So, is the Suhr Modern in the same ballpark or does it feel more like a JEM/RG?

My only gripe about the Modern shape is the cutaway. For a 24 fret guitar, the cutaway could be better shaped to give you optimum upper fret access. That's the only aspect I think other 24 fret guitars (PRS, JP, Vigier, Mayo etc) have the edge.

Now i've had the opportunity to try out a bunch more guitars, the Suhr was the best sounding of the bunch by a clear mile & I do miss it nowadays. I'll probably pick up a Suhr Satin at some point.

That is one sexy looking guitar.

Only thing i don't like about the Suhr is the headstock, damn i think it's fugly.

Can one order a different kind of headstock from Suhr?
