It's going good. I've been playing a lot, but I have to sling it over my right shoulder until the collar bone is healed. Working on my left arm mobility. Got a little rotator cuff damage too. Jan 2 is my next set of X-rays, see how it's healing. I think I will have a couple of weeks therapy to get all the mobility back in the left arm. Sucks but it's better every day, thanks for asking

Try building a guitar with your dad, growing an afro, getting a PhD in astronomy, and using silver coins as picks. That should help.

I really would like to see if I can get Jeff or Bruce to build me a custom UXL!!!! JKD just refuses to part with his. :gethim:

What's the UXL? Please tell me more...

The VX is my favorite module, with the SL2 running second. The VX has so much character. I haven't explored the B channel as much as the A channel, but the A channel has me drooling every time I play it. So much character.

At one point I kept playing Beatles tunes, just because it nailed the sound so well. I'm not even that big of a Beatles fan, it was just the sound!

As a big Brian May fan, I will be exploring the B channel more.

Oh man the B channel is so much fun! Ive never heard a medium gain tone with this much warmth AND clarity at the same time. Usually you have one at the expense of the other, not the case here. I love it for playing Guthrie Govan style upbeat style fusion licks. Just strap on your favorite Dorian mode and you're good to go!

The VX is awesome, probably my favorite module, although every time I say that I find myself playing with another one and going "no, this one is my favorite!". VX1 is sweet, chimey, and if you bump the gain, it has that gritty, edgy sound without losing its clarity or that essential Vox midrange thing. Awesome. VX2 is my favorite of all the MOD50 lead tones, I think (I haven't played a couple of the real high gain modules). It's got that cascading gain thing going, where the harmonics are leaping off the fretboard, it's crunchy and smooth all at the same time, and still retains all of that beauteous chime and clarity. It just rides the edge of feedback, where when you lay back a bit you can tell it's close but it never goes over the edge, and when you push it, you can get it to feed back all you want. Lots of sustain and can get pretty aggressive too. Just the bomb. Gotta love it.
