Tell me about the Carvin Legacy!! Good metal tones?

this is a clip i did of john busbees legacy at our amp fest last year. no boost. i don't remember the settings, but most of the amps were at half on all the dials...

it's the fourth one on the list..

Sounds like it has more warmth/thump than even both the 6505 & 6505+ on the list. Could have been how it was EQ'd, IDK.

I don't think Steve changed my eq...I leave it pretty much gain 1 or 2 oclock, mids 11 or 10, bass 3, pres 5, treb 5 (5 is max). These settings are with the master up about at Dail Setting 1 where the pt's are part of the tone. The cab was my Uber cab(for all the clips), but I leave the settings the same for the Legacy cab. I usually run the Legacy/Uber stacks at the same time.
With eqing/boosting, I can get about 90% of the same tones out of the Legacy that I can get with the Uber. I'm totally happy with my tone and the capabilities I have with my rig. okay, pic post fail...how? Photobucket isn't the same as it was last time.

yeah i don't have any idea what the eq was.. most of the amps were just set on 5 and let 'er rip. i definately don't eq my fitty like that most of the time. i think it was a more even tone comparison that way... although with that cab they all sounded fairly similar. just goes to show you how much the cab does...
i would of liked to try a boost with the legacy for sure, maybe next ampfest...
