Tell me about the Tom Anderson H3 and H3+

DistortEd’s black Charvel is one of the absolute coolest guitars - that neck has the most incredible grain I have ever seen.

How’s the H3 split? I have an HF2 in my Drop Top and sometimes wonder if I should go a bit hotter but I do split it quite often

The two Andersons I have with the H3 in the bridge have three-way switches so I don't have it set up to split. However, my Drop Top has the H2+ with a five-way that splits and it sounds fantastic! I can play anything with the Drop Top because of that. Honestly, Tom's pickups split extremely well across the board.

Anyone know how the H3 and H1 would compare to a Dimarzio Super Distortion (bridge) and Super 3 (neck) respectively.

I've got those Dimarzios on my Bridge and Neck of my Les Paul Custom and it sounds glorious. I also have a Les Paul Standard (with Modern Weight relief) that sounds week in comparison. Sure part of that is the weight relief and the lack of the 5 piece Maple/Walnut net.

But I am trying to decide if I want to put in what I know I like (those Dimarzios) or try these Tom Andersons. Anyone know the specific EQ (Dimarzio's below)?

Hopefully either should help the sound out compared to the stock Burstbuckers right?
