I´d probably consider selling it someday, but given the trouble it was getting it, and the scarcity of Bogners where I live (I believe this is the only Ecstasy here in Iceland) I doubt I´ll be willing to sell it soon ;-)
Understood. Yes, that's a rare bird for sure. IMO that's the best all-around XTC amp. I have no f-ing idea what I was thinking when I sold mine?

Those early amps were designed around a double-o getter Siemens RFT EL34 power tube. If you're lucky enough to find a quad - buy them! The Svetlana's are nice too.

Are those by any means the same tubes that MESA sells as NOS Siemens tubes:

If so, I have a quad of those laying around.
There are Siemens tubes with a single-o getter, and double-o getter. Look inside to the top and inspect for a double-o (OO) getter.

The MESA labelled Siemens tubes that I have do have a single-o getter.

Does this mean that they´re not safe to use in the Ecstasy?

They will work just fine.

What would be the next choice for tubes? I have winged c in my 99 101b

Your 99 101B can use any EL34 out there, but I would stick with the =C= tubes. Those seem to sound great no-matter what amp they're in. My favorite EL34 is the old Tesla brand. Changing to gold pin tube sockets is a very nice upgrade. Builders never use them due to cost.

Thanks. Is the gold socket something you've done in your amps?

I've never tried them in a PCB amp - but I did put them in a hand-wired Marshall 50 watt. It definitely made a difference, but to say it was "better" is suggestive. Seemed to have a more "immediate" attack to it.

It was my understanding that those Seimens/RFT el34 tubes could NOT handle the plate voltage over 500
