I was banned about 7 or 8 years ago. And this is really the first time I looked at any threads there since. It seems a lot more fucked up now than it was back then. And it was pretty fucked up then.

The moderation there is not very strong. The forum is too big and fast moving for volunteers imo.
For one the rules there are very grey. They simply say “all content must be PG-13

Also if someone reports you for whatever reason, it’s a safe bet that you will get an infraction for it. They adopted a points system that automatically tracks your infractions and depending on how many points and how quickly you get them, the forum gives you week long or 30 day bans automatically.
Overworked mods rarely took the time to go through all of this automated stuff so most bans stick. I got I don’t know how many week long bans over the years for things like using the word “erection” or “crotch”. My first ban was for comparing someone to a rat (the animal).
My final ban was for calling Jimmy Page a pedophile; which he is. I got 30 days for that one because they said it was slander and defamation of character. I argued back and forth for a bit, they then upped it to “you can ask to be let back in after 45 days” and that’s when I told them to pound sand.
 
I also want to add that last I knew you had to be a member there to read pub threads, so unless that changed, anyone commenting on this does in fact have an active account over there

Do you and L Machine want to argue this again? She was a groupie, right? ...and she doesn't think of it that way. How old was she? Is Anthony Keidis as well? Cultural norms bear on this and it was different in past times...

Well, I guess just keep being passive aggressive and forgettable then. I don't have a clue what slight you seem to be holding against me. You engaged with me over there and here. I never sought you out because I don't have a clue who you are.

I suppose if you wanted to argue, he was more of a ephebophile than a pedo.

But it was the 1970s, not 1870s. There were laws
