This seems to be one of the last gear forums left with at least moderate activity where one doesn't have to feel like they're walking on wokedom egg shells.

Probably would be different if the place was super active (like HCAF heydays), but really enjoying things the way they are now.

The most fair and lenient moderation I know of at the moment.

As always, compliments to the moderation team as it can be at times a difficult and thankless job.

Rave on Rig Talk!

^Totally agreed on all points.

I would even go further and say I personally enjoy the pace of RT. Just enough activity to keep things interesting without having to dig back 3 or 4 pages to find a thread you wanted to follow. And we have very few trolls and tan pants here

I was notified that @tlp1234 passed away recently. It must have been in the past 4 months. I remember this thread and other threads of his asking about Splawn and Wizard etc.

I found this thread so thought I'd bump it.

RIP tlp1234

If anyone knows his real name or anything more about him, please let me know and I will update the Epic sticky

I had terry’s cell number and actually spoke with his daughter after he had a pretty serious surgery. I didn’t want to pry at the time and I wish I would’ve been more pushy… that’s the last time I had any communication with him or his family. Terry was an excellent dude and will be missed. I wish I could have provided more information at the time but I couldn’t. Still can’t. I have messaged his cell phone and called a few times but alas no joy there…. Rest easy brother Terry!!!

It's always sad to lose someone but more so around the holidays. I'll add Terry to my orthodox book of commemorations. If anyone knows his last name and would be willing to share it here or through PM it would be appreciated but not necessary. I love all you guys and would do the same for any of you, just ask and it'll be done. I'm going to open some presents now. I hope you are with the Lord tonight enjoying life eternal Terry where there is the ceaseless sound of those who keep festival. RIP. ☦️ ☦️ ☦️

He was a bit before my time. but prayers sent anyway

I agree this forum is great., we can speak our mind. jerk around, tease and bullshit, still have fun and not get any vacations over it

Yup, you can talk about anything and as you say, "jerk around"... preferably without being a jerk. :dunno:
