The King's final guitar solo

As amazing as he was I never understand that Cathedral intro. Never got into it. Never thought it sounded good.

But he pioneered so many things that are still emulated today
 
Huge fan of Ed and VH as a whole, but "there's not supposed to be a world without him" is a little much. That being said, I've never been one for hero worship, so perhaps it's just that I can't relate.

I saw Van Halen in 1992 at the Biloxi Coast Coliseum. Alice In Chains was the opener. I lucked out that Jerry and Eddie were on the same side of the stage. I was in the third row right in front of Eddie for the whole show. That was a mind melting experience. I had only been playing guitar for about four years at that point. To watch the ferocity that he played with was incredible. Long live the king!
