Justin Trudeau Announces $5.5 Million To ‘Censor Independent Media’​

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has appointed an “Independent Special Rapporteur” who will be tasked with censoring independent media online.

Trudeau said that $5.5 million would be invested to “build capacity of civil society organizations to combat disinformation,” and warned that “disinformation often generated abroad can be a real threat to our elections, and it’s a threat that the federal government cannot combat alone.”

The announcement came amid reports that the government ignored warnings from the CSIS about candidates’ ties to the Chinese Communist Party.

Trudeau said that the government has been protecting the values of “freedom, openness, and dialogue,” noting that not all governments respect those values. He noted that foreign interference had an impact in the 2016 election in the US and in France in 2017.


“Today, all political leaders agree that the election outcomes in 2019 and 2021 were not impacted by foreign interference,” Trudeau said, “but even if it didn’t change the results of any of our elections, any interference attempt by any foreign actor is troubling and serious,” he said, adding that attempted interference in elections is “evolving, including with the rise of technology and social media.”

The PM said that “some have argued strongly that a public inquiry is the necessary next step. Some others have pointed out the flaws and challenges of a public inquiry.

“That’s why we will ask the independent special rapporteur as one of the first tasks of their mandate to provide the government with the recommendation as to what the appropriate should be, whether it be an inquiry, an investigation, or a judicial review and what the scope of that work may be, and we will abide by their recommendation.”

House Democrats Attack Messengers in ‘Politicization of Government’ Hearing​

I often joke that I survived Washington because I had low expectations, but last week’s hearing of the House Weaponization of the Federal Government subcommittee would have tested the lowest of my low expectations. The purpose of the subcommittee is to look into the politicization of US government agencies and its effect on our civil liberties. But last week’s inaugural hearing of the committee was not at all a good look for the Democrats, who brought nothing but insults for the witnesses.

Things got off on the wrong foot very quickly, as Democrat committee Members seemed less interested in what witnesses Matt Taibbi and Michael Shellenberger had to say than in attacking the messengers. Ranking Committee Member Stacey E. Plaskett, a Democrat from the Virgin Islands, began by calling Taibbi a “so-called journalist” who poses a “direct threat” to people who disagree with the work he has done on the “Twitter Files.”

Taibbi, who to the likely dismay of the Democrats on the subcommittee is hardly a right-wing Republican, corrected Plaskett’s smear, pointing out to her that, “I’m not a so-called journalist. I’ve won the National Magazine Award, the I.F. Stone Award for Independent Journalism, and I’ve written 10 books including four New York Times bestsellers.” In addition, Taibbi pointed out that most of his journalism career was spent at Rolling Stone Magazine, which is hardly a conservative political outlet.

The Democrat decision to make this hearing a partisan political issue and attack the journalists who brought us the truth about secret US government censorship-by-proxy of Americans who hold views unacceptable to government elites is extremely unfortunate. The Democrat decision to attack honest liberals like Taibbi for bringing us the truth is baffling. Taibbi and Shellenberger and the other journalists involved in exposing government malfeasance in the Twitter Files have done a great service to all Americans concerned about the collusion between government and corporations to silence speech that the government does not like.

Matt Taibbi posted his statement to the subcommittee as another episode in the “Twitter Files” series and it may have been the most disturbing release to date. In this release Taibbi documented what he calls the “Censorship-Industrial Complex.” This is the collusion not only between government and big tech to censor “wrong” views, but also those parts of the so-called “non-governmental” sector that are directly funded by government.

This “NGO” sector, it turns out, has been a key tool in the US government’s efforts to censor Americans who fail to toe the US government line on everything from Covid to Ukraine. The “non-government” organizations such as the National Endowment for Democracy, the Atlantic Council’s DFRLab, the Alliance for Securing Democracy and dozens more pose as simply good citizens concerned about disinformation while in fact they are mostly or completely funded by the US government to do the US government’s bidding.

Taibbi calls this the “absolute fusion of state, corporate, and civil society organizations,” but there is another word for it: fascism. And that is where we are headed in the United States unless all of us – conservatives, libertarians, liberals, and progressives – wake up and fight for the restoration of the First Amendment.

BuzzFeed Caught Using ‘Woke’ AI To Write Its Articles​

Far-left outlet BuzzFeed has been caught using woke AI technology to generate articles amid declining readership and revenue.

“I think that there are two paths for AI in digital media,” Peretti declared. “One path is the obvious path that a lot of people will do – but it’s a depressing path – using the technology for cost savings and spamming out a bunch of SEO [search engine optimized] articles that are lower quality than what a journalist could do, but a tenth of the cost.”

The first AI-generated content BuzzFeed published were a series of ad-lib quizzes that turned user input into customized responses.

Despite Peretti’s claims to the contrary, it does appear that BuzzFeed’s first foray into AI-written articles has generated only SEO-bait articles that the CEO derided as only being fit for “content farms.”

As of press time, BuzzFeed’s “Buzzy” AI tool has published 44 posts covering destinations in Morocco, Sweden, the Caribbean, Nepal and even some in the United States. They appear to be fully SEO-driven travel guides that Noor Al-Sibai and Jon Christian of Futurism described as “comically bland and similar to one another.” At least seven of the articles feature almost-coped opening lines:

• “I know what you’re thinking: Isn’t Stockholm that freezing, gloomy city up in the north that nobody cares about?” in an article about the Swedish capital of Stockholm.
• “Now, I know what you’re probably thinking. Nepal? The Himalayas? Haven’t we all heard of that already?” in an article about the mountain region of Khumbu in Nepal.
• “Now, I know what you’re thinking – ‘But Caribbean destinations are all just crowded resorts, right?’” in an article about the small Caribbean nation of Sint Maarten.
• “Now, I know what you’re thinking. ‘Puerto Rico? Isn’t that where all the cruise ships go?,’” in an article about San Juan, the capital of Puerto Rico.
• “Now, I know what you’re thinking – Bigger isn’t always better,” in an article about Providence, Rhode Island.
• “Now, I know what you’re thinking – ‘Cape May? What is that, some kind of mayonnaise brand?,’” in an article about Cape May, New Jersey.
• “Now, I know what you’re probably thinking. ‘Brewster? Never heard of it,’” in an article about Brewster, Massachusetts.

Futurism noted that almost every article written by “Buzzy” uses the phrase “hidden gem,” such as Alemia Island, Florida, a “hidden gem of beaches,” Carmel-By-The-Sea, California, a “hidden gem of California’s coast and West Virginia, which is a “hidden gem of a state.”

A spokesperson for BuzzFeed said the AI-generated articles are merely part of an “experiment” that the company did to see how well its AI writing assistance tech functions.

“We’re continuing to experiment with AI to ‘enhance human creativity’ and are trying new formats that allow anyone (with or without a formal background in writing or content creation) to contribute their ideas and unique perspectives on our site,” said the spokesperson.

“This new creative tool enables a collaborative writing process in partnership with AI and a human editor to unlock the creative potential of UGC [user-generated content] so we can broaden the range of ideas and perspectives that we publish. As we iterate, future formats will continue to have built-in ways for humans to be in the loop as co-collaborators and editors.”

‘Google Is Illuminati’: David Bowie’s Final Internet Post Eerily Prophesied 2023​

David Bowie was a regular contributor on bowie.com, the forum at his official website, and his final message, written just weeks before he died in 2016, contained a prophetic warning about the future of humanity.

Writing under his pen name “sailor”, Bowie revealed that “Google is Illuminati” and warned that if we allow Google to run the internet and control the flow of all information, then the elites will turn society into a “fascist dystopia.”
Seven years after he wrote the message on his deathbed, Bowie’s warning for humanity appears more prophetic than ever before.

“Google’s motto is b.s. They are destroying the most glorious gift humanity was granted in the last 300 years. Google is illuminati. Illuminati is google. The future under google is a fascist dystopia, their way or the highway, no room for dissidents, no room for free speech. Google is a boot stomping on your face for eternity. sailor.“

Bowie also warned that the internet search engine has been infiltrated by the global elite in part of their plan to enslave humanity. Another message from Bowie, written in the same forum thread, read:

“Google are deep state. Forget about conventional wars, forget about spies, forget about intelligence agencies, forget about all of that. It’s all about the internet and google run the internet. They decide how you feel, what you think, what information you can and can’t look at, and ultimately who does and doesn’t have a voice. sailor.”

Always ahead of the curve, Bowie embraced the internet during the 1990s. He believed it was an ideal platform for individual and creative freedom. In 1998 he launched BowieNet, an internet service provider, offering dial up access to the new and exciting online world of freedom and possibility.

At a time when major corporations were still struggling to comprehend the importance of the internet, Bowie had a clear vision for the future. BowieNet offered uncensored access to the internet, and he was excited by the possibilities of cyberspace being free of censorship and regulations.

“If I was 19 again, I’d bypass music and go right to the internet,” he said at the time. In the 90s Bowie understood that a revolution was coming, however BowieNet closed in 2006, and his vision of the future of the internet became decidedly darker.

The personal freedom promised by the early incarnation of the internet had been replaced by something resembling the Illuminati prison for humanity.

Eighteen months after his death, Bowie’s final warning to humanity about Google and the Illuminati has proved to be as prophetic as his previous claims about the internet.

Google is currently under fire for clamping down on free speech, censoring the internet, and siding with the elites and the New World Order.
