It says Dumble on it so you know it's real.

From what I gathered from a couple vids is they don't seem to be producing anything for sale. It's all so they can say "we are still building amps" to protect his designs from trademark infringement or something like that. Dumb.
Most of the dumble clone videos also sound like grainy, overly compressed, squeezed meh because they aren't running any real volume in the demos. It's like demoing a 100 watt super lead on 3, pucking fointless. The same is true with a Twin. On 3 you'll never get the amps best. They sound kind of "meh" too, in the video, but you can't really hear that type of amp from a phone vid

Ive sold out that room many a night!Madison Square Bedroom
having owned and played a few different amps in the dumble style,That bottom end sounds horrific.
I know it’s the Dumble signature tone, but the fizzy, loose, muddy bottom end isn’t something I like.
From what I understand, his Marshall mods are absolutely phenomenal.

having owned and played a few different amps in the dumble style,
as well as having seen and heard the legendary dumble owner/players in concert do their thing in intimate to stadium settings,
i agree that it's not for everyone because dumbles were not just "a" sound. and especially for this forum, those circuits don't distort or chug like the vast majority here craves. fwiw i never liked EJ's dumble dirty note live or on record. clean and lead =
as mentioned elevendy billion times every dumble and their offshoot designs are different. but i've come to the conclusion that people who grew up playing and loving fender clean to overdriven amps gravitated to dumbles. he started the deal with the fender circuit, and if you notice a majority of his big name clients came from fender roots. dumbles are a natural progression of guys who love fender clean but want a logical yet dynamic expressive sustainy dirty/lead tone as an extension of that, without resorting to the industry standard tube screamer's mid bump and pedal dynamic.
recording the unique "in the room" essence of the dumble sound is not very well represented online either IMO, because the foundation of the sound is a loud breathing 3D clean tone, married to varying degrees of very dynamic overdrive, which a common mentality 57 on a cone iphone will not do justice to. even the most famous dumble names in the biz didn't always get their golden tones properly captured. I've seen both of these guys live and let me tell you their tones in the room were ridiculous, but here on this concert recording it is nothing special ( i cued up all the vids to the proper moments
these were two recordings that i thought did justice to what happens in in the room. but whether you like that kind of tone and music or not is subjective.
landau used a dumble modded super reverb with this band, and while the recording isn't exactly like being in the room, it captured the dynamics of the amp pretty nicely as piloted by what i would presume would be a dream candidate for Monsieur Dumble to own one of his amps:

Fuchs amps, with all due respect, sound absolutely nothing like a real Dumble ODS or Dumble modded amp. It doesn't sound like them, it doesn't feel like them, it's not reliable like them... I can tell you this because I've own a Fuchs amp that I've got on a trade(TOS), and tho it sounded just like the other Fuchs amps I've heard through videos, in the room it was not even remotely close to any Dumble I've heard in person, and I've heard quite a few of them, or like any of the ones I own.I agree with this. My friend just got a Fuchs and he normally plays a Friedman Twin Sister. The Fuchs cannot crack the lineup at his gigs. The dirty sound just doesn't get it for him and I bet he sells it. I had one as well year ago and I liked the lead sounds and cleans, but it did not stick around for same reasons. I think a lot of blues / jazz type cats are hip to it ad it fits what they do. But I miss EL34 tone after a while.
Haven't you heard? "In the room" tone is completely irrelevant nowadays. Doesn't matter if it inspires you to create something on the spot that you might not have otherwise. It's all about "fitting in the mix" now. Even if you don't record! Those Fuchs will sound the same as Dumbles on Youtube anyway!Fuchs amps, with all due respect, sound absolutely nothing like a real Dumble ODS or Dumble modded amp. Both the Fuchs and most of the Dumble replica, clone or inspired amps I've had the chance to A/B side by side with a real Dumble amp or mod, sounded one dimension, stiff and sterile, with an annoying honky midrange, very blurred low end, icy picking presence and with absolute no bounce at all.
What I've seen, every single time someone brought a Dumble style amp to A/B them with the real deal is that, when they plug into the Dumble, they play for quite a while, before even trying to change the amp settings to their taste. Some don't even touch the settings at all. They just enjoy the amp. However, when plugging most of the replicas right after, every one would spend minutes tweaking the settings, trying to come close to the real deal sound/feel, and after a while trying to adjust the amp, instead of playing it, they give up and ask "Can I plug into the Dumble again?", and there they stay until the get together is over. And it happened every single time someone tried A/Bing them.
Sure, they are not aimed for the metal community at all. That was never his goal. So, they won't chug, they won't sound like Metallica or Meshuggah... but for the purpose they were built for, nothing has ever been better, and most likely, never will.
Dumble knew how to make the perfect amp that would please his clients 110%!
I'm just looking for an improved Twin Reverb so everything I try whether it be a pedal, amp mods, or a new amp, is going to be compared to a cranked Twin with a basic boost as a baseline. Tone improvement plus addtional versatility over a 100 watt Twin, which stays extremely clean until you get it screaming, and minus a boost, is still a pretty clean tone. Think Freddie King.Fuchs amps, with all due respect, sound absolutely nothing like a real Dumble ODS or Dumble modded amp.
