The one with the red maple faceplate and inlaid logo / JP signature is a limited edition while the head and rackmount are normal production models.

I bought mine from Sweetwater a month ago. I bought it thinking I would demo it and send it back within 30 days. The amp arrived and I dialed in Petrucci's settings as they were in the manual and I knew in the first 5 minutes that I was keeping the amp. I paid off my Sweetwater card a week later. The amp is killer as others have noted. It also sounds great at bedroom volumes especially in 60 watt mode. I have a 5153 Stealth and a Splawn Nitro which are similar price wise and the features on the JP2c can't be touched by these amps. I'm most likely selling the Stealth as it gets no play time now.

Seems like a great amp and I would love to try one but, an extra $1000 for maple face plate and different color panel bezel? Give me a break.

On a pure feature level, I'm not sure there's anything similar out there that touches it for the price. I didn't like the crunch channel on the Roadster I tried, but perhaps it's a bit different/better on the JP2c.

Someone probably posted this somewhere already, but here's a JP2-c going head-to-head with a Butterslax. Interesting.
