Lots of great Marshall tone from NWOBHM between ‘78 and ‘83. Saxon in particular.

Have no idea if they used new cabs back then, so couldn’t say. But 6 knob Marshall’s cranked up with a Gibson or a Strat through a Treble Booster or OG Ibanez, Boss or MXR is still really THE sound that infected the player DNA of so many of us.
