I think I need a tone bra, what the hell is it? Is it like the Manzeer or the Bro?

High end diffuser. It is placed in front on the center of the speaker cone so that the speaker sounds the same all around and there is no piercing spike of high end in the center.

Damn that is something I needed for my uberkab!

we are trying to finish up the aftermarket kit to install them to any cab, so be patient! :D

You mean like a Weber beam blocker?

I think the beam blocker works by reflection tho...the tone bra is more of a diffuser/filter.

According to EWSEthan's description, that's exactly what a beam blocker does/is. The BB is placed in front of the speaker and the half dome both absorbs some highs and reflects highs to eliminate a speaker's high frequency beaminess. I have a pair in a 212 and they work quite well. i was just wondering if the Tone Bra was something else. Sounds like it is quite similar in overall effect.

I believe they are similar in effect but the solid area/mass on a beam blocker is greater..hence I think they probably both reflect and absorb a little more than Egnater's tone sponge.

Our patent pending Tone Bra's are really a attenuator. The foam disk is place in the center of the speaker away from the cone. The nasty high end kack is removed by this. You can mic dead center with no nasty high end. The BB is actually blocking and send the frequencies out to the side. Our "tone Bra's" do not disperse they only attenuate.

I can corroborate this. I do a lot of recording in my project studio for articles, reviews, and my own songs. I've owned at least a dozen different cabinets over the last 20+ years, and no cabinet records as well, in my opinion. With a solid recording signal path, what you hear in the room is exactly what you capture on your recording, which cannot be said for other cabs, even with a great recording signal path.
