Sorry if it sounded like I was blaming Biden. I just hate "the poor pay more" type stuff. It's even worse now that everything is so expensive. And Mass is really expensive. Even you, you're always hustling to make bucks to afford it all. I used to be very lenient when a poor person brought a vehicle in for inspection cause I know how effed you get when you are broke and now don't have a road legal vehicle. It's a double whammy. Can't work in TX without a car really....

That's exactly why I found Trump's comments about it so inexplicable. Why even go there? In the last 20 years, the only candidate on the presidential ticket who I thought was even remotely attractive was Sarah Palin, and it's not like that really did anything to help her ticket.

It's kind of his personality to "go where no politician has gone before", lol. He has a filter, or lack thereof, more in line with someone hanging down in front of the seven eleven smoking Newports than the usual president. He makes street level observations. I think that is why he is both loved, and hated. Somehow many people of the lower and middle classes see something in common with a guy who is a billionaire living in a gilded pent house. Not a rational thing, but he does have some special way of connecting compared to other candidates.

A lot of it is a safety concern. Rusted frame or underneath to let exhaust in, but also anything at risk of falling off while driving. There are still a lot of neighborhood mechanics that are super lenient about it. Emissions are l computerized though so no fudging that

Ah, the old "Thomas Jefferson says it's not too rusty". They are doing away with inspections in TX after this year, save for the emissions. And I just posted that story about how they were cheating the emissions system, which is computerized. If you're poor, broke, and your car can't pass, you really don't have any other option than to try and cheat or bribe your way through.
