Because both cracks happened right where the screws are... And the rest of the gutiar is immaculate!ejecta":haevjomj said:Noice! Wierd on the damage though. Wonder how that happened?
Not sure if Im digging the Dimarzio Paf Classics though. They're almost too clear and smooth... Almost like they dont have any personality if you know what I mean.. I recorded some of our band practice last night. Hopefully Ill post a clip when I get off work.
Thanks brother! You know, I havent tried that yet.... The neck pickup is low, but the bridge looks about right to me...Robotechnology":quost3bk said:Congrats Shea! Knock your future shows out of the box with it!
Regarding the pickups, have you tried raising them closer to the strings yet to see if you get a little more snarl?
Means you don't have a treble bypass cap on...Telephant":1u4jn949 said:Thanks brother! You know, I havent tried that yet.... The neck pickup is low, but the bridge looks about right to me...Robotechnology":1u4jn949 said:Congrats Shea! Knock your future shows out of the box with it!

Another thing I noticed, the taper on the volume pot is really weird. If you turn it halfway down, the guitar is inaudible! If you barely turn it down, it rolls off all the gain and becomes really dark... Im not sure if this is the pot itself or if there is some sort of capacitor in there thats contributing to it... It sucks because I cant do any of my volume tricks...

No you need a Tyler.

The Tyler necks are waaaay too big for my hands, which sucks because the Burning Water finish is probably my favorite finish of all time.
Nope...I'm guessing you might wanna replace it with a 500K reversed audio taper. My guess is that its a regular audio taper wired the wrong way around since it's a lefty.Telephant":1pg9kdii said:Well I did know about that, and it explains the high end roll off... Aaah that would make sense. Ill have it looked at when the pikcguard comes in. Speaking of which, Patrice did hit me back and said he send me one ASAP.
