Not in my view. In my view both parties are flavors of fascist. Leftism has a historical philosophical meaning. Sure, Democrats might incorporate a couple elements of that, such as eschewing tradition, embracing revolution, but only in the same way the way that Republicans talk about freedom or the Constitution. Neither party is particularly ideological. They both simply want power.
