Got it. How to weigh the significance of his comments is somewhat subjective. But he did make them, and he was high level.

Remember that Israel initially supported Hamas directly. Make of it what you will.

I don't think so. Choosing a side is division. There are other options like not choosing a side, choosing both sides, coming up with your own side etc..

I have to choose a side because one side continually chooses to create artificial sides ergo division That side is the left... They divided 2 genders into 156... Pit men against women when it comes to remuneration for example (conveniently then ignoring the other 154 genders lol, pigeonhole people into races then try and put one over another in the name of supposed social justice i.e. rather than having social justice for everyone on the same terms. They are continually finding new pigeonholes and making people take sides. It's extremely tiring and plain wrong. That's just the long way of saying they continually play the game of identity politics.

Identifying with an abstract, divisive concept such as left/right helps with nothing IMO. It's not like you are actually involved in the party acting on your identity in any meaningful way.
Both sides are doing things that confuse people and cause even internal division and neither of them bear any resemblance to their original definitions.
