Thinking of buying a Deizel.....Undecided. Help

Thanks a ton Mizati20, that was kinda what I got out of them when I played on them last weekend. Compared to a Splawn, Cornford, older Marshalls, maybe Elmwoods and a few others, they favored the more forgiving factor I would agree. I still loved both of them very much and intend on buying one soon. I heard the Einstein is not as forgiving though, whatcha think? Thanks fella's for all the advise and input.

Einstein's a different amp in the family of VH4, Herbert, et al. The big dawgs for the stadium and Diezel tone of metal, gnar, hi-gain territory are the Herbster and the V. This does NOT at all discount the Einy in any way. It's a truly brilliant amp as well (you'll start to see a trend here, ALL Diezels are brilliant amps  ). But it's the Herbert or the VH4 for hi-gain territory.

As for my +1 on the above post, that was in accordance to wanting BOTH amps. But I still stand firm in the fact I do not feel they are at all forgiving. Sure, they're compressed and gainier than hell...but when you open one up on the MV, and really start to hammer on it, EVERY note, finger shift, tap, and attack is defined and noticeable. Further to this, the blossoming of overtones is incredible - and IMHO - when overtones are highly noticeable, the room for error is much less available to a player.

i agree with Ventura. The Diezel amps arent that forgiving. Sound so incredible when in the hands of a great tight player. In the hands of "slophand" they dont. The Herbie is a lil more forgiving than the VH4 IMO. I have played an Einstein & thought it was in the Herbie realm...just a tad more classin IMO.

Exactly..
Play a Marshall JVM and then a diezel and tell me the diezel is forgiving.
The only reason it seems that way is because its pretty compressed.
..But at the same time im not saying that it is an unforgiving amp either. Its pretty in the middle as far as im concerned.

Rob would know...and look at that snazzy new haircut!! ;)
