Mods Feel free to move this if this isn't where this is supposed to be. please be warned Frank Krueger of Orange Ca ripped me off of $1325 for a Jackson RR0571 white with rising sun graphic Don't deal with him.

sucks that happened, but I hope you learned your lesson about sending money orders to complete strangers.
keep us updated with the outcome.

Tell Mr. Kruger that by cashing your postal MO and not delivering the goods that he's committed mail fraud, a Federal felony offense. Talk to the postmaster at the post office where you got the MO and have him contact the postmaster where he cashed them...good luck.

It was only 10 days ago that you sent the money orders?

I do my transactions with money orders and I always tell them to buy postal, you do have recourse if something happens. You can put a tracer on them and find out if they've been cashed, if they have you can get the postmaster involved. And they enjoy investigating fraud....good luck. Most everyone here on RT are stand up guys...was this guy on RT?

Yeah, if you used postal money orders you are probably in better shape that if you had used PayPal.

PayPal obviously is a better choice....I had a bad experience with eBay/PayPal so i refuse to use either anymore. But there is recourse if you use postal money orders.

i have some communication from an owner with a different name, but in the same area & def same guitar / i know it well. not sure if the info may help, but you're welcome to pm me with an email address & we'll go from there.

This was my thought as well, and we have what? 5-6 days of it are weekend/holiday. Not saying this doesn't seem sketchy as hell, but this response might be a bit premature. Either way, definitely good you are trying to cover your bases as much as you can right now. Just saying, I have had members on forums take well over a month to ship to me before. Sometimes shit happens and those people are good dudes. Definitely smart to cover your bases though.

Sorry it happened man. :( I hope you get this sorted quickly. Really sucks.

This could change a lot! Dang, maybe this guy is doing this on a larger scale?

+1 with paypal!!!!

So is this guy a RT member, or is this a global "heads up".

He may be a member here, but he does do a lot of gear deals and most likely someone will cross his path. Just use caution and deal face to face with him.

Post his number in a Craigslist ad for gay casual encounter.

Just playing devil's advocate -

1) He received the payment in the mail on August 23 (10 days ago, 5 of which are weekend/holiday) and you don't have proof that he cashed the money orders yet.
2) He explained to you that he and his wife had to tend to her Mom that fell ill out of town and was hospitalized.
3) He told you that he had just gotten back in town and had to get back to work and catch up and would need this holiday weekend to package up the guitar.

Now he is a fucking scumbag thief that needs to have his teeth knocked out? I'm not seeing it (not yet at least). If his story is true and he got sidelined with life and family stuff for a week or so, he would have a decent case for libel and defamation of character.

No he called me at 10pm and told me he was not shipping the guitar. He texted toward the end telling me to stop scamming yet I was the one who sent money. I don't know what kind of scam he is pulling but it ain't gonna work.
