Hey! I liked that! Mine sounds more like the amp stock.

Yeah and thats cool too! I think that for guys trying to hit the early VH sound, that the Jose Master with the diodes adds this aggressive edge to the tone. Its hard to describe, but im sure you can hear what i mean!

Man i have allsorts of stuff saved, just depends what you're after!! A lot of it i have just collected from forums like Metroamp over the last few years.

Are you looking for anything in specific?

It sounds modded. Mine sounds like a stock badass... :D
Either or is good. But it's nice to experiment.

Im not sure about mousefart volumes without a hotplate... :D   But it does sound good at lower levels!!

I must've done the Rich mod wrong, because I thought it sucked. I would prefer using a hotplate or pedal.

Yeah I remember you saying that... Weird because I think it sounds great!

It might be the kind of thing where if I changed a few components to compensate, the tone would come back in line. Maybe it's a SB vs. SL thing? I have no idea. And I'm not smart enough to go there. But I really didn't like losing the presence control at low volumes either. And eventually I realized that tone isn't what I miss at low volumes, because there's a million ways to get great tone at low volumes. What I don't like about low volume is the......low volume. I prefer to flap pants! That was a mini-revelation to me when I had that Naylor head here, which had a very very good MV on it but yet I still didn't like playing it at low volumes. After that, I stopped thinking about it. I just crank when I can. When I can't, I use a pedal or hotplate. You're going to have your amp at Paige's next week, yeah? That way I can hear a correctly functioning Rich mod and know whether mine was fucked up or not...but either way, I don't think I'll bother with it again.
