Thoughts on the Fender Super Sonic 60?

It seems like when they first came out back in the hcaf days they were all the rage for a minute and then boom… never spoken of again. Super sonic always seemed cool to me but I’m also a fender fan boi…

It definitely can boosted but I have the treble all the way up. Swapped out the pre tubes with Tung Sol and it helped.

I like it. Looking at the changes on the SS MK2 I feel the MK1 was the better choice for humbucker metal.

That was yours a Pickle fest? Can't remember but that amp definitely ripped and was probably the most surprising amp out of the bunch

I've still never had a chance to play a Supersonic

From what I can tell the Throttle Box is a distortion pedal.

They integrated the 5 band with the Throttle Box here.

Will find out soon. Should ship today. Just hoping the gain can be set low enough to act as an EQ only.

Curious to hear what’s up with it. Are the regular eq’s hard to find these days?

The Throttle Box EQ doesn't work well in the loop of amps. Need to find one that is just the EQ.

The pedal sounds decent into the return of the amp but it definitely has the solid state sound.

The MXR KK 10 band works ok for now.

Damn, I didn’t know the eq’s were so hard to find. If you have a parametric you can get close, the 750hz is kinda key
