that's wild. I always thought it would be easier if I could fret right handed, I thought my fingers would be way more articulate. Then I tried it... :(

I grew up in a time when playing lefty was a no-no. My dad forced me to learn right-handed....

Another recorded in five minutes scribble based on the groove from Della Brown....

Man that lead tone is so sweet. Great playing of course too, otherwise it would be worth nothing and I wouldn’t have listened.

What is the setup you are using? I’ve actually always struggled to find that juicy lead tone. Only once when I played a Bogner Shiva at a music shop. Should have bought that amp. Was so fun to play lead on, but I wanted an amp to suit my rhythm playing and found it wasn’t suited. But man it was the best lead tone I’ve had for gratuitous shred.

Thank you for the kind words.

It's the FM9T using a Splawn Quickrod model.

I use a simple NUX looper that has 99 drum patterns. I use a Bass 400 model with my Yamaha TRBX 5 string. The clean tone is a Fender twin model with chorus, delay, and reverb.

What the hell? I would have never have guessed. Well there’s my tube snobbery smashed to pieces for the day.

I’ve been actually using my Kemper a lot more lately and finding it really is a matter of the right profile and settings. I’ve judged digital stuff many times on people’s bad profiles. Your’s today is the opposite and shows when done right and with a good player, it can be great.

Is this a guitar doing the intro lead stuff. Not being a smart ass. It’s a very creative sound and not the obvious tones, and it’s tight. I like it a lot.

I'm using a Hagstrom Viking through the Luv-U-Tron pedal that Wayne sent me.
They sound a little off compared to the raw files, especially the "RT Strut" track where the guitar comes in at around 1:45.
That chain is a little different though.

Oh whoops. I didn’t listen to the RT Strut one. Just listening now. It’s definitely interesting to hear such tight and non rock/metal stuff on this site. Really good stuff Lisa.

Why don't these appear on your Soundcloud? I was going to jam on RT Strut but the volume is too loud and can't be adjusted here. Unless there is a volume adjuster I'm not seeing?

I use soundcloud mostly for collabs, so either set to private for that or not finished.

I have tube amps to compare with. I still love my tube amps, but I cannot deny how convenient and almost indistinguishable from the amps the FM9T can be...

Yep. I love my tube amps, and when at the right volumes they are magical, but I can’t believe how good my Kemper actually is too. For recording, convenience and access to tones from great producers. It’s changed my understanding of tone.

Always enjoyed this one; it's a 3 way collab - me on guitar, @killzone on bass/drum programming and my buddy Adam plays the solo

It's my LACS Starfield Cabriolet in to my Fender Prosonic; Adam recorded the solo with his Rocktron Phrophesy

Nice !!!

The Kemper was the gateway for me. My friend Sin Quirin was doing their debut gig as "Siglos" and I teched for him at that debut gig. I had to attend a few rehearsals to understand the set and know all his gear. He uses a Kemper toaster and any Marshall V30 loaded 4x12. But, his sound was killer.

The second rig that I used on my path was Chris Brightwell's of Damage Inc. Metallica tribute Quad Cortex. He had a profile of a Mesa MKIV that sounds so killer. I used that same rig earlier this year.

I ultimately went with the FM9T because I like the ability to really fine tune the model vs. the limited adjustments available when using a profile.
