If it did we’d all be talking about Taylor Swift up in this bitch.
It should tell you something about the level of quality here at rig talk because this is the ONLY guitar forum where a bunch of pervy old dudes aren't gushing over that guy. I don't get what's so special about him.
 
Dookie was the first album that really drew me away from listening to my parent's stuff towards more hard rock. Killer album start to finish, and was actually learnable when I began playing, so it has a special place in my heart. Love the tone on this one in particular:

Exactly me too. I was raised on Beatles and country music because I didn't know anything else. I didnt have something i could call mine yet (my own musical interest).

My father made me aware of Green day when a video came on TV for their first time and I was blown away. I went out and got the cassette the next day And spent days studying the music and the folded insert.
 
i love how they up-cycled that riff from Chicago's 25 or 6 to 4. :geek:

those dudes were on fire in that era. good, simple rock/punk songs, every one of them with a decent hook. they we're like a young Motorhead in terms of their song structure, attitude, and how loaded they were on speed.
