Top 10 Modded Marshall Style Amps

I don't think there's anyone better at modding a Marshall than Mark Cameron.

I've played a few different modded Marshall amps over the years, including a few real Jose's, and if we're actually talking about a legit Marshall that's been modded, Mark would be my first choice.

If we're talking about newer stuff, the coolest couple of things I've played recently have been from Friedman and Henning.

What ever happened with that Cameron guy? Wasn't there a bunch of fuss a couple of years ago about him not delivering a ton of amps that had been paid for or something like that? Is the guy still active? What was the story on that?

3rd Power makes some good stuff, but haven't heard their Marshall take yet. Didn't PWE go out of business or something? I checked out the EH2 & EH3 but neither one was particularly impressive. Which model are you referring to?

The Ceriatones Chupa and Yeti sound better than any other Marshall mod I've owned, including Fortin Bones and Cameron CCV. I sold my Chupacabra once I got a CCV. As Trump would say, "YUGE mistake. Tremendous mistake. Know someone who did the same thing... Nice guy, good friend of mine... Really knows how to cook a steak." I bought it back earlier this year and it really is one of my favorite amps of all time. Sounds like an angry pissed off jaguar through a Bogner 4x12 with Greenbacks.

Man I really need to get a cab with Greenbacks. I would love to hear what my Yeti sounds like through them. I have a stock Uberkab and a Mesa Recto cab I run it through now. It sounds great but I'm sure the greenbacks will give it a different flavor to my sound palate.

PWE is not out of business. Where did you hear that? Are you referring to clips of the EH2 and EH3 or did you actually try them?

Yeah, Greenbacks do wonders for amps like these. Your Yeti will love them.

Bruce Egnater's Megadrive mod...designed to replicate an SD-1 hitting the front of a JCM 800 or JMP. Awesome mod, way more quiet than using an SD-1, more low end...just amazing.
