I've never bought a patch or profile that sounded good with my gear. All this stuff sounds good on their demos but is a waste of money IMO.

I have found MBritt and Josh Middleton to have the best sounding profiles depending on what you're going for. I have the Top Jimmy Brownsound pack, and while there are usable tones, it's not the first profiles I go to.

+1 for MBritt, he's usually my go-to. Of the bazillion amp choices out there, there's still only a small handful i gravitate towards on the Kemper lol

I have a feeling that a part of it is that the sounds really aren't that good, they are just good in context. When you aren't multitracking and layered with the full band its just sort of "a sound"

Another mbritt fan here. Bert M has some of my favorites too.

I have a bunch of Top Jimi profiles that were given to me and the tones are decent but they just come off very dull me. Turning off the reverb helps a bit but not enough for me to use them often.

Yup, Bert's a buddy of mine and even if he wasn't, I'd still reckon his are the best.

I only buy from 3 vendors, Michael, Bert and Guido (Bungenstock).

Anyone who says their sounds are shit simply doesn't appreciate good tone IMHO.
