Thanks for the heads up. I'll have some lead time for the chassis/circuit anyways. Not two years though!
Heyboyer never got back to me either. But that is who Marstran uses anyway, so at least I will have something…not that many options for laydown transfrormers, Mercury is about the only other one I found.

Just follow the layout on Ceriatones site. The OT and choke will be a little bit of a pain because you need to route them under the board. Ceriatone uses laydown transformers for their builds so if you get a stand up transformer it won't work.

I went custom design Mercury magnetics for the PT. It’s 68 lay down spec with a specific high plate voltage loaded that I desired, it’s also multi tap, but it’s a vertical stand up style. That’s what is cool about them is that they’ll do pretty much whatever you want without a minimum count. Their customer service is also amazing and the shipping was super cheap and fast.

Absolutely everything I own and love is loaded with Mercury magnetics. They just sound more aggressive to my ears and are built well. This winter I plan to go under the knife and replace the iron in my 74 Marshall. The PT will be the custom spec power transformer and for the OT I plan to go Marstran which is just a custom spec heyboer.
Thats cool, I always thought there was a minimum order for a custom spec (y)

I am ordering a power transformer from Marstran for my 67 Supertremolo. 12 week leadtime. Merren will never get back to you, been at least two years since I tried contacting him. Probably more at the mercy for what you can actually get your hands on at this point.
I have his C1998 in a 2203x that was modded to Adam Jones' Superbass specs. Great stuff!

Hmm….never heard of them. Pacific I am guess is overseas made.
I think the company is a US company. I think they are US made. They were one of the brands Ken Fisher used for Trainwrecks.

Do you know what HT voltage range you are looking for? For a PT I'm looking for correct fit, correct voltage, and no audible vibration/noise when on.

This is for my Marshall ‘67 /68 Super Tremolo. It is a 10,000 series serial number. Original PT is marked 2572 I think. Whatever will bolt in as original. I don’t remember what voltage it put out before. I am not that picky with that. 450-500 ish I guess.

Not sure what you mean, all laydown transformers mount with 4 bolts in the corners, wiring facing down into the amp into a square hole. Dimensions / spacing vary but that's how those work.

The other type mounts upright (standup) with 4 bolts and 2 holes for wires to go through.

Mine mounts with two bolts thru the sides, not the 4 corners. Not really wanting to drill holes in the chassis.
