does this mean the Hagen is more brutality and meaner than the other Diezel's - more metal? less hair spray?

It's just a different beast - and it really is a truly incredible amp. You just have to learn it like any other. It's awesome

In fact, of all the amps out there, I am truly surprised that this one doesn't get the press it deserves. It's over-the-top on ALL channels, and holy shit people, I know high gain heads are high gain heads, but c'mon, Channel 1 is clean like ya've never heard.

Ya, the Hagen is very versatile. It's loose when you want it to be, but cozy up to some palm muting and it's razor sharp - tight - and super percussive. It's a kazy good amp.

Yeah....I hear alot of good and bad on the Hagen.
Just had the Vh4 and the Herbert.
The Hagen.....and D-moll strikes my interest. Why no talk on the Einstein anymore?

The Einstein was kinda "replaced" with a footswitchable amp. The D-Moll was to take its place - maybe slim sales on the Einstein or what not, but my guess is it wasn't pulling the numbers even though it was a brilliant amp unto itself.

Enter D-Moll.

Thats pretty much what I thought.... d-moll = Einstein +1 ?

No matter.....cant go wrong with any!!

But seriously....lining my ducks in a row....
VH4 coming home.
Like the VH4S......but time will tell. ;)

Having had both, they're both stellar amps. Personally I like the way the mono 100W head responds to my playing better than the 2x50W stereo head. The benefit of the stereo head is - of course - 2 cabs of amazingness. But for solid, tear-you-a-new-arhoolie Diezel tone? Mono head for me.
