Trolls on Reverb

I wouldn't say it's limited to Reverb. Any item purchased with Paypal or their CC on PP the buyers are using the buyer protection from fraud as a 90 day free trial run on used gear and so far from what I see they side with the buyer most of the time. You can list you stuff as is or no warranty because they will just lie and say you misrepresented the item even if they just don't want it anymore or found out they are not a les paul or strat kinda guy, or the amp didn't sound they way they thought it would. PP has applied the 90 free return guarantee like private sellers are Sweetwater or Musicians Friend.

I'm sure they are still reasonable people out there... but as you said the trolls are gumming up the works for the rest of us.

Thanks for the replies guys.
The part that bothers me the most is I was willing to work with the guy to make him happy, but then when I questioned him on the foot switch and Told him the amp is working fine and I didn't have an Open ended return policy he immediately files a claim. If he would have been cool I may have refunded his money minus shipping and $20 to fix the foot switch.
He uses pedals and I understand this is not a good loop for this but It was stated in the ad. At first I felt bad because I know it's not the ideal loop for him. But again it was stated in the ad and he never made it clear before he purchased the amp .

Really needed the money for Christmas and my dog has been sick and vet bills and meds are adding up.

Sorry just need to vent and see if anyone else is dealing with this shit.

Sounds like the guy just wanted to try the amp out with his pedals and it didn't work out for him,or he didn't like the sound etc,so basically fucking you over..sorry I hate that happened to you and others. :gethim:

I just had a pretty good experience on Reverb. I bought a Suhr Modern and the day the guy was shipping it, he sent me a bunch of messages and texts saying he noticed a ding on the headstock. He called me and said his wife noticed it before he packed it up. I asked to see it, he sent me a pic and it was the smallest little ding in the natural wood back side of the headstock. Can’t even really see it, I would have never noticed. But he was prepared to return my payment and seemed really shaken up that he didn’t notice it in the sale. I took the guitar anyway, glad I did, awesome guitar.
