So I was messing around with my hell razor today, as I’m going back and forth on moving it… Any way, wanted to really try to capture the low end of the amp since that seems to be a miss on wizard clips out there. This is not something I’d do in a mix because it’d be over the top, but by itself on a system (listening in my ford explorer) it’s pretty fuckin representative of what I feel like I hear in the room. Check it out. (Hint you will not hear the low end on a phone speaker). If it was for a mix I’d hack off the low end a bit more and do some multi band compression on it.

Sounds saturated as fuck..In a good way. Good job!

Best clip of a HR's low end!

Every HR clip I've heard has been thin as shit but everyone says the low end can get thick, this is the only clip I've heard showing that.

Sounds killer! This is also exactly why engineers like to mix in a little bit of a ribbon mic like a Royer R-121 to help fill the lows and lower mids back in.

Man, I’ve always been a 57 guy, sometimes a 421 too. I’ve never had the chance to use a royer… I probably should at some point. Just how pricey they are and in plugins (I know) I never seem to gravitate toward them.

What is making you consider selling it?

Tried an EQ to address the 300 range?
Yeah, and that totally works. But with times changing too and some uncertainty with the economy… the wifey definitely notices the amps with the same logo on them lol.

Truthfully just think it’s kind of the sound with the hell razor and mc. They both have it. And it does give an incredible in the room fullness with that. But under the mic it’s not my absolute favorite because of that. Some guys are into that sound. It honestly reminds me of the Fryette deliverance too, just in that specific range and being so damn punchy, filling, and loud. The MTL does a bit more sub low if that makes sense and less of the 300ish range.
