Just curious as to when they changed the name of this series

I believe it ends up sounding like crap when you put the other tubes in, not just another tone color.

First they say "yeah, any tube". then they backtrack.....then I send an e-mail (off the boards) to them to clarify if I can use any 6L6 such as a KT66.....no response. I believe they are ignoring this thread on purpose. They respond to the request to remove the renegade, but ignore the subject of this post/question.
Sorry, but that is not good customer service. I think I might just return the amp and take a look at the Randall line. Not a biggie.....I just don`t like the harsh sound of these 6l6s.....that`s all. I ran the pre on the Tourmaster in to the power section of my Rivera TBR1 with 6Ca7s and wow, what a difference....but you know they are in love with this magic piece of Russian crap! I am not.
I am sure thay will continue to ignore this new customer.
When you call that number you talk to John Ewing (who frequents this forum) and he is a very nice, helpful guy. However, Jeff is just as nice and helpful and Egnater's customer support has always been top-notch. Retardo, I mean Guitardo, you asked a pretty basic question that is covered in the user's manual and you're bitching because you didn't get immediate attention over a holiday weekend. Grow up, dude.EWSEthan":2unx37cd said:For the Guitar Center line of products if you cant get Jeff, maybe you can try 877-EGNATER. Ive never called it, but that is the number listed on the website.
