Nice to see. My little girls haven't heard me open up on the amps/guitars yet since we got back from surfing... I've needed a couple days to adjust, not to mention, acclimate!! Went from 30C (what's that, like 90F) on a daily basis to -20C (I guess, what's that, -4F...??) here in Whistler. NOT typical, some crazyass cold front that's supposed to be outta here in a day or so. But COME ON MAN!!! That's just not fair.

Anyway - I'm kinda back, just hovering and lingering, not fully engaging as of yet. Head, heart and spirit still in the waves...

Well the Herbert was inspired by the Uberschall...Peter Diezel heard one and wanted to make a similar amp and actually I've heard the changes in the design aren't huge...I wish I could recall what they were, but it had to with cutting bass in certain stages, etc.

first gain stage configuration has the same frequency curve, although they have different values
they're not usual common values, so I always wondered if that was intentional
apparently the herbert cuts more bass between stages and has less uper mid boosting on the other stages
first time I heard a twin jets channel 1 video, reminded me a lot of an einstein or something
