Not really. There is some stuff in the beast that were new to this amp and only in this amp. Things that former Two Rock designer Bill Krinard will want to have a patent on. This amp does not sound like, nor behave like any other one off or production amp that they ever produced.
I had a desire to try one just because they were so intriguing - so I picked up the Bi-Onyx last year. It had a fantastic clean channel and surprisingly it had a ton of gain. The low end was a little flubby for me and when the gain was up past noon it lacked dynamics. It didn't need a boost at all to get into a great rock tone, reverb was great too. The Bi-Onyx I had was a 50w - 2 6CA7 loaded amp. If you can snag one or a Sensor (I hear some guys love those) they're pretty fun to play.
