I’m getting dropped shipped to whatever country
this animal resides in and starting THE band.
Joey definitely flatlined the other 8 monsters in the battle of creativity in that band with this song.
Yeah, he smoked everybody with this one.

It's scare to watch Eloy playing drums. This guy is insane.
I still like Igor better. Eloy is way more technical than Igor, but watching Igor playing live back in the days, it was just like watching a caveman fighting a dinosaur with two leg bones. It was scary but rewarding at the same time.

I love watching clips of Eloy. Dude hits so hard his ghost notes probably have more impact than some dudes' rim shots

One of the best shows I ever saw was Sepultura in '91 on the Arise tour. For sheer intensity and the ability to play super tight yet with sheer reckless abandon, back then Igor was pretty much the only guy that could hang with Lombardo in that regard.

I always though Tim Yeung from Devine Heresy had some sick drumming. He seems so calm drumming too. Thomas Haake was also pretty insane.

I'm from the same city as Sepultura. Used to watch them all the time. Last time I saw them there was during the Chaos A.D. tour.
I agree with you on the Arise tour... That to me was like watching Metallica during the AJFA tour... they were pissed off, they were angry, they were hungry and they were fast. Igor and Lombardo are my two favorite metal drummers.

Man I bet that show was killer!

SBLUE, Dude, I swear man, I was thinkin’ I bet F’n SBLUE knows what’s up with this animal.
I do realize he’s the drummer from ROOTS BLOODY ROOTS..?? Or the other Oy’? LTFOL!
Buddy that feeling you’re talking about?
Dude, those amplifiers you’re holdin’ are the weapons needed to make music with “that” feeling coupled with this HUNGRY BEAST.
METAL.
I bet this man can fight like hell.

Dude, your comment really lulled my inner METAL landscape and got my short hairs “pairing up”.
What you described, this “concern” for safety of the drummer from his bombastic precision is an INGRIEDIENT.
That was what Nirvana was missing,
(David Geffen be like “We’ll be signing these guys”..SubPop who”?),
AFTER the next level ULTRA BEAST MODE V1 Dave Grohl joined the two burnouts from the Bay area of Seattle.
He brought that next shit.(see episode V1)
That ingriedient?
Finished the RECIPE.
No I don’t particularly like Kurdt’s guitar wizardry
but man what an amazing singer, damn.

I was just thinkin’ damn, he’ll break my JVM
in half with his punishing grooves.
You need a KT88 loaded 200 watter & a double stack with this MONSTER.
He’ll eat your ass otherwise.

My God..the brute savagery of that lone’
one/two strike on the roto Tom to floor tom with sorta’ double kick drum smash is just too bad ass…Gruesome.
It rings the true frequencies of death in 1/2/☠️
ground & pound smash and mash fashion of percussion.
-“FINISH HIM”,-thra’doonk’-
-“That’ll shut him up”.
It has that menacing, brutal ring of a Mike Tyson
left uppercut to the body(liver) and you can
feel it from the boxing ring floor through the
television into your feet.
I bet him & Joey were tight tho’.

Here’s the real McCoy.
Imagine Eloy holding a guitar sitting on that
drum throne and picking the bottom strings up and down and palm muting with those tom’s/snare/kick syncopations.
Joey Jordison was a guitarist also and wrote
a lot of the early stuff.
He was one of those “dropped D guitar players
who play with one or two fingers of their left hand ..that are drummers”.
This is a healthy lateral vein in the taproot
of the series.
Drummers play the drums like guitar riffs.
It all comes from the same “action” just
different joints.

This song was the collective outcome of being a
guitarist/drummer in Joey’s mind & f’n SOUL.
From a guitarist set of hands, the song doesn’t make much desire’able sense.
But it’s the “coupling” of the two instruments that only makes sense from the main driving creative force behind the song.
He owned this one.

RIP Buddy, this ANIMAL here,
should fire you up from the dead
and be proud man!

-PS: Do I think I’m some pseudo Dr Phil of
how the rest of the world here’s music?LMAO!

One more juicy thing,
Do not let those bargain thoughts
from ‘tone factoids’ littered amongst
internet guitar & amp forums distract
you or your pocketbook any longer.
Just start RIPPING IT UP on that guitar
hanging right next to you.
Cheers!
