I got mine today. I'm in totally in love with ch1, it's the absolute perfect clean channel. Not having a mid control is a non issue so don't let it's absence worry you. If you want a more middy sound, just turn the bass & treble down and turn the volume up a bit to get back to where you were volume wise.
I'm still tweaking ch2 because the amp has so many options & sounds, it's actually difficult to decide on a sound. So far I'm really liking what I'm stumbling across, so I can only imagine that in time I'll be loving ch2 just as much as ch1 !! Finnster's definitely right about the midrange.. There's no shortage of it on ch2.
I am however going to emphatically disagree with Finnster though.. Even with the reverb knob cracked just above 0, the reverb is unusable, unless you like the biggest, longest, mushed up, sloppy boom chamber of doom type of reverb sound. It's seriously like a 8 second hang time, and probably the biggest room dimensions you could imagine. Totally unusable. Granted, I have personally used some of the best reverb units in the world so I'm a little biased, but damn, I honestly think an Arion reverb pedal would be more useful. I really hope there's a way to pull out the reverb chip and flash it. If not, then no big deal, because I'll be using this amp alone with
a TC Nova System which has great reverb.
The padded bag is also awesome. Made of a heavy cordura type stuff, and lined with a 1/2" or so foam. Also has the Egnater logo embroidered on the front which is a very nice touch. There's a zippered pouch on the top that's big enough for the manual, the power cord, the footswitch, and probably a cable or two.
