This is most unusual amp I gigged in bars, clubs, private parties, festivals, and concert stages

It started out as a’73 SF Vibro Champ combo.

I had a local amp guru convert it to a piggyback .

Fender Red 5 watt Vibro Champ 2 x 8”Piggyback

That's pretty sweet! Can't imagine gigging a 5 watt 2x8 combo in any situation (unless I REALLY trusted the soundguy and PA), but seems like it would be a cool amp.

It was no problem at all

It set the amp in front of the stage pointing back at me like a monitor.

I’d also have sound guy put my guitar in the monitor so I had enough volume to hear my self comfortably.

I would like to run it into a nice 1x12

What used to be a 1976 1959SLP.

Now it’s a modded 2203 running a quad of 6550s.

Dual bias control and global depth control

Footswitch bypassable effects loop

Footswitch controlled true dual master volumes for a solo boost or stage mute.

Footswitch controlled hi/lo input

You can still put your guitar plug into individual hi/lo inputs in the front to access the channels seperately if you don’t have the footswitch.

Built it on my own and it fucks. It’s the one on the bottom.

The top is a Cameron aldrich that fucks so hard you walk with a limp ?

Maybe not "custom" but I took my Splawn Quick Rod from a traditional plexi look like @glpg80 Marshall up there and went 50w moving forward, removed the tube spring retainers, replaced the original knobs with chicken head knobs, minus the Gear knob. Then I traded to the current headshell with red Z28 stripes from @*dawnofdream87* Nick. then I add red LED lights to the headshell permanently and bought a matching 2x12 cab from Splawn. Talk about ate up

Oh, and I added the mesh front instead of the original plexiglass w flames

nothing to special. you all know how these are heavily modded. this one has the depth and saturation mod and the SLO gut mods. About to send it to epic to have some more work done to it..
Have a matched quad or Svetlana Winged C 6L6 tube so I will be sending two with the amp when I get it modded. been holding on to those for almost 9 years..

Smokin amp you’ve got there.

Nice, you finally got a Cameron! You wanted one for a long time. Nice man.

Yeah man this amp really brings the heat. Nick owned and copied an artist’s Cameron to make this one. I only received it because the original owner passed away (RIP) and Dave was helping with liquidation.

To be honest I joined this forum in 2010 for the purpose of getting an ocean mod but realized I prefer his aldrich mods more since they bring the heat. This amp has so much gain on tap that it doesn’t have a clean capability at all. It literally does one thing but damn it does it well.

Between these two modded Marshall’s I really don’t need anything else ever.

My Verellen Skyhammer. It has the bright switch and gain boost on the clean/crunch channel, reverb, half power switch, and effects loop. I wish Ben would start building amps again.

I like the looks of your amp - are a pro photographer as well? All your pics are super high quality
No 311SD.

I take all my pics with my IPhone 13.

After I take the photos, I press on the main subject in the pic and save it.

Then I go to pic in my photo library and main subject is now surrounded by a white background.

I then make the pic bigger, and then the background turns black.

I then save the pic with the black background.

In the last 20 years I've played a number of gigs with an old stock SF Vibrochamp. It's mic'd and I've got inner ear monitors. It with a small pedalboard works perfectly for those gigs. Those aren't metal gigs, of course!

The aldrich is my favorite Cameron mod also. I had a 50 watt aldrich with some cool tone shaping controls. It was really killer.

Not really a custom amp, but pretty rare/ unusual. I've been alternating between my 1987x and this- a Strap Cantus. Basically a hand wired 50 watt 68 plexi circuit with a master and gain boost. This one is #10. Not sure how many Harry made, but he stopped building quite some time ago.

The head shell has grown on me- I now call the amp "Woody" for obvious reasons!
