Dickerson Lap Steel guitar and amp from the ‘40s I think. In beautiful Teal Mother of Toilet Seat. It uses metal-envelope preamp tubes and It originally had a field coil speaker, that’s how old it is. It now has a Hammond output transformer and a Jensen speaker. Really cool sound and with a boost it is a blast.

Please Post some chassis and gut shots of that thing. It oozes cool factor mojo!

This is the only one I have that qualifies....VVT Simo-Plex

It's basically a handwired/pine cab Fender Tweed Deluxe that is supposedly slightly tweaked to be a little more Marshally

From what I understand only two of these exist, and JD Simo owns the other one

Awesome fucking amp

Here’s a chassis pic, mostly the old stock tubes that came with it. 5Y3 and a 6v6. At wall voltage it’s around 450vdc and the poor 6v6 gets cherry pretty quick. On a variac its fine tho.

Inside is point-to-point and not stock…and not pretty! Mostly just replaced caps. All I’ve done is replace a couple of electrolytics.
