It's just, why? I've never been a fan of this dudes tones in the first place but I don't understand what makes this worth 10 G's - because it appeals to the "WE WUZ VIKANGZ" crowd? Is it amon amarth signature?

Just checked their website and they only have two models listed there - both of which are even more expensive than the one in the OP lmao

£15,750.00 and £12,500.00 respectively (before taxes)

I've never been super impressed with any of the demos, I guess I assumed for those kinds of prices you'd have to have some legendary builder designing some crazy ass shit with an amp that can give you blowjobs

I wonder if it’s a trademark think where they are just maintaining the rights to specific model names or something? Or tax fraud

He owns a 5150. He's explained it in videos before - peavey (quietly) sent him a free guitar and amp as an endorsee for some reason

Why would anyone do this? You could literally pay someone to do something custom, like whatever you want, for a quarter of that price.

yeah it was probably the most surprising thing i've heard in one of his videos lol

He used to have a couple youtube videos where he busted out his 5150 combo and peavey guitar to play old burzum riffs and show how to play some of the commonly not played correctly riffs, which was cool

Rich, lush tone isn't the reason people like that sort of music, of course

I just think its hilarious imagining some P&R guy finding out the alt right kid in accounting sent Varg Vikernes a fucking endorsee package

If it's his old Tomb model, he has had it for awhile. Like 10 years at least. I saw pics of him recording his later albums..he had the 5150. It was probably some Mississippi metalhead who liked Burzum. I love Burzums music, his and my political views don't totally align but I respect his music

Same. I love the creativity in his arrangements and melodies - dude has a really unique sense of things and whatever he's done in his personal life, people who shit on his music are just being disingenuous TBH

I don't know how anyone could listen to Ea or Jesus Tod and think "who cares he sucks" unless they just have no understanding or grasp of musicality
