What are you guys using to attach your pedals other than Velcro? Show your boards too!

Thanks!

Extra long cable ties - round the pedal and the pedal train frame - works a treat and when you want to move the pedal one snip and your off!

Cable tie not long enough, wha etc. simple join two together - job done :-)

I use the 300mm ones - do a quick eBay search and you will find loads!

do you have a pic of this? the bars run horiz on a pedaltrain, how are you attaching with a cable tie?

3M Dual Lock (The Clear/White type vs the Black type)

I've used the back plate as a template, drilled holes through the board and just used longer screws :)

I carpet my boards with seat upholstery. Then use Velcro on just the pedal. I know it's still Velcro but your able to adjust your pedal chain freely and I don't like the loop. Also you can use small pieces of velcro to tie down loose cables. Granted I have all the materials at work for this so it's rather easy for me. 3M dual lock works great too.

Why don't you want to use velcro. It's the easiest and will pull right off if you're careful.

Ive used velcro and never had any problems. One thing though is that I've always used pedaltrains and velcro really seems to stick well to metal. I'd also put the stiff side on the board and the fluffy side on the pedal which from what Ive heard is the opposite as most people tend to. Another thing though that i found is that velcro does not like to stay on laminate style boards. I bought a brady case pedalboard and opted for just a laminate surface, the same as the outside of their cases, and velcro just wouldnt stick to it, not even dual lock. Make sure you're using a completely smooth surface when using any kind of adhesive fasteners. I went with just drilling holes into the board and bought longer screws and washers to keep my old pedalboard together, worked great but not i have a board with a bunch of holes after i decided to ditch my G system rig.

If you want a road ready pedalboard, Dual Lock is the only way to go. Makes velcro seem like a toy.

Never said I didn't want to use Velcro. Just wondering what the alternatives are.

I've seen chain links used.

well, half links.

you take the link, unscrew the one on the bottom of the pedal, attach the link to the pedal, then screw the other hole in the link to the board.

No pics. I dont use pedals.

I use this too. Secure as heck.
I've never screwed it in though. Are you using the adhesive plus screwing it in?

Yes

If dual lock or Velcro isn't sticking to your board get some 3M PSA tape. PSA: Pressure Sensitive Adhesive, the harder you rub it down the more it will stick. Dual lock works great on my carpet board too.

Not going to be back in the house till after the holidays - I'll pop up some pictures then. mainly use it on longer/heavy pedals that don't stay with Velcro :)
