On 6? That is the hotter of the two Modern High gain channels? Or is this the Vendetta?
To avoid an external boost and or EQ I would need a module that has enough gain in the first channel to do heavy rhythm so I could switch to the second channel for lead....assuming there is enough midrange. Some amps have enough natural mids - otherwise I'll need an external EQ or boost if I used the second of the two for rhythm and lead.
I have heard the EG is voiced so the second channel has more mids.

...Exactly ..thats the purpose of the dual master/dual gain .an MHG has more gain then youd ever need .My Vendetta which is supposed to be a Hot rod TOL ..my gain is at 6 on the hottest channel in Modern mode ..its enough for me
