Yes definitely.

Almost sounds like he just backed out at last minute?

If that's the case, yea it sucks but not exactly screwing someone over.

Guys, yesterday I had cancel two of my business clients to get home and pack my amp in order to trade him. I have lost $475.
Last min he changed his mind after he committed to me. He was pushing me to ship as fast as possible.
I was shocked. after talking to him and telling me that he is nice and honest and all that BS crap, He apologize to me to trade me again,he even put in his POST trade pending!!!!! I told him alright, tomorrow I'm gonna ship you the amp between 4 to 6pm and I had to cancel another business client, $237.5 lost because I had to get on time and pack the amp, carrying all the packing supplies from my office to my place and ship it to him before UPS close.
Last min again he tried to get $200 cash on top, and he kept telling me I got somebody here offer me cash right now but since I'm honest I will do the trade with you.
After like an hour he send me a message saying emergency famille BS I need to sell the amp ASAP.
He offered me $50 for wasting my time!!!
Is it real?

Sounds like it sucks, but no one is liable for you for "losing clients"
If your time is really that valuable, why not just buy new?

I don't want to buy a new one.
He have decided to trade the amps period.
I don't care if I lost money cuz I gave my words and I have committed to him so it's my responsibility. so No BS!!
serious people with big gears know me in here.
Reference Steve King, Mo, Chris, Rayan... the list is long.

It sounds like you're better off just moving on. Thanks for the heads up though.

This is why I would only trade with a member I knew to be solid. I would rather outright purchase what I want and sell what I own rather than trade.

Just seems strange that you lose over $700 during the time it takes to pack and ship, making the whole used gear swap financially silly. Regardless, it seems you got a raw deal. When a deal is agreed as done, it should be done.

And I'm sure 100% that his amp has a prob or stolen. cuz selling that amp for 1999 brand new in the box. it's very fishy.

Cuz I have committed to him. He was driving me crazy and pushing me to trade and ship my Amp ASAP and he wanted to get for 2 business day. That's the reason.

I usually never trust anyone who can't form a proper sentence or have no idea how to use comma's, periods, or capitalize the correct letter.

Really? am I taking an english exam?
At least I speak and write 5 languages.

I have a good friend who had a similar experience, but doesn't have a RT account. He took a deposit from Adam on a high value guitar, then was told he needed to provide a refund immediately due to financial difficulties. After another couple days, he decided he wanted the guitar after all, and paid for the remainder. Less than 24 hours later, he demanded another refund again. He was offered a sizable discount over the agreed-upon price out of respect to his financial situation, and again decided he wanted the guitar. When it was delivered with signature, he tried to claim he hadn't received it. He said he found it the next day, but claimed it was irreparably broken, that he had been intentionally deceived, and promptly filed a paypal dispute. The guitar had literally been shipped from a reputable tech after a free setup and fret dress that had been thrown in with the purchase. When he took it to a local shop for documentation of damage, all they found was a loose wire in the back, probably due to shipping. I don't know if Adam seeks to intentionally deceive anyone, but he's the type of guy who I would only do face-to-face cash deals with.

I heerz ya lowd and Kleer.

There are some people on the gear boards who simply don't know how the fuck to partake in gear deals.
people that flip out on you if you read their PM and don't reply right away, people who are extremely pushy, people who have no understanding for the fact that some of us are grown adults, with demanding jobs, kids, and can't constantly be online, people that tell you how interested they are, set up all the details, and then go unheard from for 3 days before backing out, etc.
I've been flipping gear as a hobby for 12 years now, and for the past 4 years not even thinking about profit, just breaking even... trust me, i've seen it all.
Life comes before gear. you shouldn't have cancelled your business plans for someone on a message board over an amp. If they're being pushy like that, kindly explain your situation, don't just give in and fuck your personal/work life up over an amp sale!
I do sympathize with your situation, i know how shitty that is.
