I had a bad feeling about Adamus when I tried to work out a trade deal with him and he told that my Mesa Mark IIC+ combo is worth only $900 and that at most it's worth $1200. This was a mint condition, true C+ (not a iib or iic that was sent back to be converted to a iic+), with simul-class, reverb, 105 transformer, ev speaker, 4 power tubes, basically everything but the graph eq and was telling me it's only worth $900. Lol.

Sounds oddly familiar... :scared:

So has anybody has a positive transaction with the guy? I think I've only seen his name on here recently.

He's got an 8 string Ibby up now at top of Classifieds.
It'd be nice if he'd chime in and at least give a side other than what's been presented thus far.

Oh man where to begin here...First off, this guy Adleneknot is absolutely insane, not exaggerating in the slightest here, I mean quite literally a lunatic and must be avoided at all costs. He freaked me out and made me extremely uneasy from the beginning. There was also a clear language barrier throughout as well, so his understanding of the situation was and is all over the place honestly. He has intentionally omitted plenty of facts here, so please take everything he's saying/claiming with a grain of salt. It should also be mentioned that Brad is now involved in this as well and is fully aware of this guy's practices. Here goes: In the beginning, he asked me for my phone number to chat through a deal I didn't even know the details of at the time, and I foolishly gave it to him. He stalked me for days and days on end, texted me books of writing no joke and I mean back to back with odd rambling that didn't even make any sense and made me skeptical about his practices. He pressured me into a transaction I clearly told him I was uneasy about from the beginning and after back-to-back texts for days I finally caved like an idiot. He offered me $200 on top for the amp in his initial proposal and never followed through on that. I eventually texted him that I'd move forward with a straight even trade deal to get it done, had the amp all packed up and ready to ship to him with me at the office and an office neighbor of mine on our campus said he would pay straight FULL cash for it yesterday. I've had some big family bills come up lately so I took the cash deal and notified Adleneknot immediately. He stalked me again all day yesterday sending me more shady texts like "I sell you and I buy you chico", "you knocked at the wrong door" AND WE HAD NEVER EVEN EXCHANGED SHIPPING ADDRESSES LET ALONE SHIPPED ANYTHING AT ALL YET ON EITHER END. What also needs to be mentioned here is I never once encouraged him to cancel anything at work for me and this transaction. He never even once warned me about having to do that in the first place until he already had "cancelled appointments". That was his decision and I can't be responsible for a work schedule I'm not familiar with or him making a decision to cancel any money making opportunities without warning me about them ahead of time. Bottom line, his job and the decisions he made/makes in that setting are not my responsibility and I never would've encouraged him to make the moves he made had I known about any of this in advance. I calmly asked him to stop texting me numerous times yesterday and he stalked me for hours, sending text after threatening text. I mean who in their right mind would share their home address with a guy like this anyway? The writing was on the wall from the beginning and I'm sure glad I removed myself from the situation. Stealthtastic: Regarding that Vik transaction you speak of, if you ping the seller I dealt with (Max) he'll assure you that this was all resolved amicably and that he understood where I was coming from. Me backing out the first time was completely independent of the issues I faced when I asked for the refund. The guitar had issues with the electronics when it arrived that were diagnosed and confirmed by my Tech, but Max and I worked it out after discussing in detail which alleviated my concerns and I kept the guitar. I encourage you and/or anyone else here to talk to him and he'll vouch for me. I am indeed new on here and have only had a couple of transactions thus far, but both were positive. Any lingering doubts, please check with sah5150 and studiojig for confirmation. Also, I may not be a big seller/buyer on here, but I am on the MyLesPaul forum (screename is verde and my references from high end deals done on there include buckwild, highspeed, joesnewmatch and JRitt to name a few). You can also check my eBay account, green5721, for further feedback about who I am. Bottom line: I'm an honest guy and this isn't my first rodeo, but like anyone have had some lapses in judgement along the way and this experience was certainly a prime example of that. Lesson learned. Any further questions, please ask here, email me anytime at agreen5721@hotmail.com or call me at 510.449.3107. I'm an open book guys.

Total bullshit, why do you think Steve K and I both refused to sell you guitars? Because of your stellar reputation?
