mr diezel I would like to know about modifiying my vh4 like the herbert Isaw a clip on utube and i was very impress with the sound also i want to know how can i get close to vh brown sound what are the settings and the best choice of tubes iam very happy with my vh4 I wanted to get the best amp in the market I so i did know i what to get the most out of it thanks

i

Sorry, we cannot mod the VH4 into the Herbert sound.
I would choose EL34-SED´s for power tubes and 12AX7-C
for the preamp. V1 and V2 needs highgrade ones.

THAN U FOR THE QUICK RESPONSE I WHANT TO KNOW WHAT V1 AND V2 MEAN ALSO IF I CHOOSE EL34 SED AND 12AX7C THE AMP WILL PROBABLY SOUND MORE VINTAGE BUT CAN I STILL GO HEAVY IN DISTORTION

thank u journey man for writing a comment about mid cut mod I dont feel like Iam the only fool

Yes, but has nothing to do with the original Herbert
schematic.

Peter

ohh ok...cool

Would you mind explaining us what it does then? does the mod actually "cut" the mids a little bit?

Well, but it´s a completely different circuit.

Peter... If I Send you my Einstein, is it possible to get a "midcut" type of mod done to channel 2?

I'd LOVE to have that in my Einstein Chn. 2! :D

sniff sniff hehe

Anyways, I'm happy with my Einstein so it's ok.....sounded like a nice mod to have....

Hey Peter... I'm very interested in your opinion on something.... How would you compare the Einstein's ch.2 to VH4 chn. 3 and Herbert Chn. 2? (tight wise)

Is there a way to get the Einstein ch.2 to sound a bit more "tight" in the low end? ...to get it to sound more like the vh4???

Ch1 Mode 3 is what you are looking for not Ch2 ;)

really? what do you mean? I like both......ch.1 mode 3 sounds a bit less compressed, which I like specialy for solos.

ch1 mode 3 is more vh4ish?

Definitely. Ch1. Mode 3 delivers the famous try Diezel super crunch. The Einstein isn't as aggressive as the VH4 but sound similar in the mode.

Hi everybody,

My Einstein is really great, but for some metal tone, I need a pedal to make a "mid cut effect", like lots of people i assume. But I don't know what eq to take, so...

Why don't you make a "mid cut" pedal ?
I'll be your first customer for this, and i'm sure not the only one!
And it should be great for Diezel ;) ....

What do you think about it Mr the Boss?

Thanx

It is not possible to reproduce the mid cut with any kind of pedal or EQ because just like the presence it happens in the power amp circuit. That's what makes it different from just scooping the mids.
