Is there a way to get the Einstein ch.2 to sound a bit more "tight" in the low end?

I'd start with your cabinet first. My Einstein is totally tight with the 2x12 Diezel cab.

As far as the mid cut......you don't find there is enough of the Einstein as it is when you drop off the mids? You'll find you like that cut a lot less when playing live because without any mids, you get lost in the mix real fast. It's one thing to play at bedroom levels and cut the mids and up the bass but when playing live you have to change things around quite a bit to blend in more.

That's why i need a mid cut from the master Diezel, 'cause i like to have a lot of mid in my sound to be heard in the mix, but i want to drop out only frequencies around 800 Hz and not all the mid as the regular mid pot do, to get a more "modern" guitar sound.

But I didn't know that the mid cut was in the power amp...
Can you tell us please how it work Mr Diezel?

Thanx guys for your help.

Excuse me, but I don't understand; what you want to say scottph?

oops i have to correct; mid cut is around 400 Hz on the Herbert.

Try to gain the presence and deep with mids
around 9am.
Scooping 400 hz should also work.

Thanx Peter, that's already my rythme sound, and it's awsome! (even if I prefer with mid at 10:30)
But as I'm in recording time, I just want to find a way not to touch the eq too much after recording, to get The Sound in one shot, and find it again on stage...and i'll never could afford a Herbie...
And the quest never finish, for finding the sound...

What I am saying is that Peter has already said that the VH4 is no modifyable for midcut. Damn...

;)
I was talking about the Einstein, that's why I didn't understood what was the link with the vh4...
And thus i was asking if a kind a "diezel mid cut pedal" should do that in the future, dreaming... I know, and I just learned that the midcut is in the power part, so it's surely impossible... :aww:

Anyway, It's ok I know that none of the Einstein or VH4 could do the same sound that the Herbert does, but I'm searching for a trick to get close of that, without post recording treatment, without the useless power (for me) and the expensive price (for me again) of the Herbie.
And yes the Einstein can sound moderne, meaning for me a kind of american "rectifier sound", but with the perfect bottom, aggressiveness and the beauty of the sound texture of the Diezel's amps.
:D

Why don't you try an EQ pedal in the loop?

"Mid cut pedal"

just cause the shape of the cut isn't the same, and be sure that
peter studied it... and moreover a lot of pedals make your amp
loosing a part of his color... I didn't care before but now that I'm recording,ect... it's important for me ... I'm surely too much perfectionnist, but what the hell! I love my amp pure and don't
want any crap pedal... I don't know what I'm doing here... going back
to play guitar... and keep on  , you do it right!
