Sorry for not being much help Nick....I haven't owned or played a herbie so I can't really compare them, but given what the guys have said on the board at various times, I get the impression that it's a bit less dry and tight when compared to the VH4 (and thanks to the mid scoop, less "middy" if you want it to be), if that helps any....

I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that if you play blues lead/rock rhythm/metal rhythm, VH4 is probably more your cup of tea thanks to channels 2/3. However, if you play more hard rock/modern metal/shred lead, herbie is better thanks to the mid scoop. Hard to say though since they're both intentionally designed to cover so much ground...and I'm talking out of my @ss :scared: :lol: :LOL:
