, Nice, Aggesive feel. I really liked some of the phrasing in the lead.I don't care for chuga, chuga with out emotion ,I could feel THIS.

lead is all time bob savage lead tone

rhythm for that type of tone was better with your uberschall

Bob...for the love of god add some HOM sauce to that lead!!!!! :D That screaming lead tone needs some verb and delay punched in.....please???? :)

I kind of liked the rhythm tone myself, it is holding together really well and maybe it is the lack of saturation that some are speaking about?

I agree with Steve, 7s are a mother to dial in to get a balence of uppermid cut but not getting fizzed out. My MK IV with H30s sounds pretty darn good but the same amp with greenbacks.....not so good.

Nice work Bob, keep at it

Hey Bob, in my case, the high fizz I know it's the cab. That should get fixed when I get the Deliverance cab. I have to dial a fair bit of treble and mids for my guitar to come through.

If I use my Mesa cab, the high fizz is not there.

Just remember that you'll have a little fizz until the P50's are broken in!

Hey Pat! So you like this lead tone, or do you mean that it sounds like it always does? I'm actually liking the aggressive lead cut this Ibanez has, perhaps even over my Vigier. The Vigier seems much "nicer" which isn't a bad thing of course, but it's very different than the 7 stringer.

And yeah, the Uber is the goods for 7 string stuff. As much as I love the Uber for everything including leads, for low tuned playing I think it excels.

You can't hear the delay on that guitar? You're a nut cake! I do believe it's a lack of saturation and overall compression particularly in the upper mids and top end that many are missing. I think Steve's observation is a good one in that there are some similarities with the PM, due to the vintage side of the D60. Of course, I've been saying I love the D60 because of it's vintage vibe and modern edge and think with a little tweaking, I can get where I want to be with the 7 string and D60.

sounds good to me, the riff is cool and I like the solo too. Great solo tone. I think the rythm guitars sound good, but maybe a boost would be cool just to tighten the tone up a bit.

Bob....who do I hang out with???? :D

Captain Delay and Sargent super soak

Yep, I'm thinking a nice little boost might add a bit of a smooth upper edge to it and be nice with the 7 string.

Hahaha, yeah, I know. There's actually a good amount of delay on the guitar (even though you don't hear it!), but no verb this time.

I really think you ought to try my Keeley-modded TS-9 for that. Could be just the ticket. Loved it with the 5150II rhythm channel...

I'd like to give it a try. Perhaps I can put a tiny little pedaboard together, like just a wah and a boost and maybe the VHT Valvulator, since I already have one.

I got my 7 string from the guitar tech yesterday so I thought a 7 string Deliverance clip was in order. Please be gentle on the lead playing because not having practiced in a few months, my fingers were to sore from the jam last night to even worry about vibrato on this clip.

VHT Deliverance 60 and 7 string floggage

Damn that rhtyhm tone has got that "bark" ...nice lead tone! and great Bonham backing track!

agreed, The Rhythm wasnt to my liking but the lead tone was great as it always is. Loved the phrasing, particularly because I cant play that Phrygian crap to save my own miserable life...

Thanks for the comments guys!

How long should that take?

I don't know since my cab was built with four speakers that came out of a cab from the Queen tour (Steve offered broken in speakers and I wanted them), but I would allow many hours on the cab for break in.

Yeah, when Steve offered the broken in speakers I was all over it. You KNOW they took a proper beating on a Queen tour.

When do you get your cab?

It should be here in a few weeks but usually, they are a bit late on these things, so I hear, so lets' make that 3 more weeks. The dealer is about 4 hours away. I'm toying with the idea of driving down to get it instead of having it shipped. The difference is roughly $50 less if I drive but I lose a full day....

I'd pay the $50. That's a whole day of travel.
